A TEN-WHEELER dump truck was allegedly razed at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22, by 10 New People's Army (NPA) rebels in Sitio Tabalugo, Barangay Budlasan, Canlaon, Negros Oriental.
Investigation showed the vehicle was driven by Samuel Barnayha, 37.
When the truck arrived in Tabalugo to haul sugarcane, the 10 suspected rebels, armed with long firearms, shouted at Barnayha to leave.
Barnayha obliged as he feared for his life. The rebels then set the vehicle on fire.
The vehicle was owned by Lito Albellar, 50.
The police are still looking into the motive behind the incident. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
