THE Regional Management Committee (RMC)-Davao Mindanao Wide Taekwondo Championships ended on a high note with over 400 jins who competed at the NCCC Mall Davao Kadayawan Hall.
Participants showed their wares in the poomsae (forms) event while others saw action in kyorugi (sparring).
Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) president Sung Chong Hong graced the event.
The PTA president joined RMC 11 chairman Hyoung Joo Kim and Sports Development Division-City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO) office-in-charge Michael Denton "Mikey" Aportadera who presided over the opening ceremony.
RMC-Davao member Jun Liwag said the event aimed to send a message that RMC 11 is still one with the PTA, supporting its program for the promotion of the sport and strengthen the ties among the associations.
It also aimed to continue develop and produce quality athletes.
