Task Force Davao joins clean-up drive

AT LEAST 200 members of the Task Force (TF) Davao joined the multi-sectoral clean-up drive across the urban and rural communities in Davao City Saturday, September 17.

With the theme: “Bayan ko, Linis ko,” the clean-up drive was conducted in all areas of the city, including riverbanks, coastal areas and watershed area.

TF Davao information officer Captain Mario Tena said the activity was led by Davao City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) in support to National Cleanup Day.

"We in the TF Davao joined the City Government in its city-wide clean-up drive nga gipahigayon sa nagkalain-laing lugar inubanan sa uban sector, sa pagpamunit sa mga basura, sa panglantaw nga makatabang kini sa kinaiyahan," Tena said.

Tena encouraged not only their personnel but also other people to practice cleanliness to sustain their livelihood and maintain a livable community. The Bayan ko, Linis ko National Clean-up Drive is a project of the Department of Environment and National Resources, created under Proclamation No. 244, S. 1993 and Proclamation No. 47, S. 2003, which declares September as the Clean and Green Month.
