TEAM Duterte-CMO nipped IBP, 72-64, in Game No. 15 to remain undefeated in their basketball friendly series at the Genesis 88 Gym on Friday evening.
The victory was the fifth straight for Team Duterte-CMO following a Game 10 draw.
It was the second longest winning streak after opening the series with seven in a row and Secretary Christopher "Bong" Go had everything to do with it.
Go, the Special Assistant to President Rodrigo Duterte, came through with 42 points to propel Team Duterte-CMO up 13-0 in the series. Games 7 and 10 ended in draws.
Go came out too tough to defend with his running shots and pull-up jumpers that made Team Duterte-CMO virtually unbeatable.
IBP once again fell short on its bid to secure its first win in the series.
Gil Ciudadano led the charge with 27 points for IBP.
John Flores, Cruz and Labor combined for 22 points for Team Duterte-CMO.
Go averages more than 40 points per game in the series. (RJB)
