The ‘Great 8’ of JPark Island Resort

JPARK Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu celebrated its eighth anniversary. All its momentous achievements through the past eight years and its future plans were highlighted during the celebration. The resort also celebrated eight years of unparalleled heartfelt Filipino service in the hospitality industry. JPark’s grand Infini8 anniversary celebration was held last Sept. 16.

“We look at the past to recognize our achievements, the present to visualize where we currently stand, and the future to see what more we can offer,” said Justin Uy, chairman and president of Philippine BXT Corp.

The guests walked on the red carpet as they entered into the starlit venue: Triton Grand Ballroom. Guests were served welcome drinks and serenaded by a quartet. The culinary team headed by Korean executive sous chef Kibum Park, Chinese executive chef Kenny Yong and Italian executive chef Mattia Pierluigi showcased Asian, Mediterranean and Western Flavors.

Stunning performances from the resort’s talent group The Amigos and one of the Philippines’ talented and finest artists Juris, entertained guests throughout the night. Also, one of the highlights was the awarding of Top Business Partners as a way of appreciation for their continued support.

Over eight years, JPark Island Resort went through a rebranding from being Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa to JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu. JPark continuously improved the facilities and amenities adding signature restaurants, recreation activities and an alfresco dining Havana by the Sea, to name a few. The resort also hosted big events such as the 65th Miss Universe Swimsuit Presentation.

Sean Noh, resort general manager, said JPark continues to innovate towards its goal to become the industry leader.

Uy said that JPark became iconic as the first waterpark resort in the country but it does not plan to rest on its laurels. The resort broke ground last July for the construction of Building G, which will house the biggest ballroom in Mactan and bring the total number of rooms close to 800.

Uy and Noh agreed that a big factor in JPark’s success is its loyal and hardworking employees who delight in providing guests heartfelt Filipino service.

The resort was once again given a five-star rating by the Department of Tourism, and it will strive to live up to this classification through a quality of service that is unparalleled.

In line with its anniversary celebration, JPark is offering rooms at discounted rates.

Under the Anniversary Room Promo, an overnight stay at the resort’s deluxe or deluxe ocean view room goes for only P8,888. The rate already includes welcome drinks, buffet breakfast, and use of the waterpark facilities. The room is good for two adults and two kids. Guests who plan stay to three nights pay only P18,888, which is already inclusive of a delightful buffet breakfast for two at The Abalone. (PR)
