The 'lived in' hair color trend

JUST about all of us who color our hair know how it is to have our hair freshly dyed, and then start seeing roots just weeks after. On the one hand, we’re glad to know our hair is growing, but on the other hand, it means another visit to the salon soon.

I always love a good pampering session, but wouldn’t it be nice to spend fewer hours each year getting our hair colored?

Piandre Salon brings in lived in color. This modern hair coloring technique mimics how the sun naturally lightens hair around the face and at the ends, but leaves the root area purposely dark, so salon visits can be fewer in between. Earlier this year, the Piandre team got several days of training from the winner of Australia’s best salon for 2017, Edwards and Co. We’ve gotta hand it to the Aussies for always seeming natural and effortless, even when it comes to hair color trends. The “lived in” look is almost always what all the cool celebrities and fashion bloggers go for, too.

Massive thanks again to Rheymonn at Piandre, who works his magic on my hair like no other. He patiently and diligently turned my uneven hair color from brassy and summer-damaged to several tones of chestnut brown with baby-fine highlights.

Depending on your preferences and discussion with your stylist, hair can be darker on top and lighter at the bottom, or with the colors woven all throughout. For dark Filipina hair, caramel, toffee, honey, or chocolate tones give rich dimension while looking good in any light. Check out the other lived-in color looks Piandre has achieved:

Aside from hair color, Piandre is a full-service salon for men and women offering cuts, treatments, nail care, and depilatory services. Clients can request a consultation and quote before the treatment begins so there’s no sticker shock after. Piandre is open daily at Oakridge Business Park, A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City, Cebu.
