ADORABLE, confident, and charming kids with ages 3 to 12 years old joined the nationwide casting call at SM Lanang Premier and SM City Davao last May 6 and May 13.
For a minimum purchase of P2,000 from the children's wear department, kids can experience the mini-photo shoot; walk the runway and have the chance to be the next face of SM Kids. The most awesome kid gets P20,000 worth of gift certificates and wins a spot in SM Kids campaign.
Kids walked the runway, beaming as they strut with their mismatched prints-on-prints, striped top over a polka-dot short, chambray textured gaucho with an allover printed floral tee, print overload with all over printed statement polo shirts layered over striped tees, and comfortable easy-knitted shorts with graphic tees- these were just a few of the SM Kids' fashionable items worn by models on the runway.
Cute kids stole the show with their adorable walk, some skipped merrily down the runway in the latest children's wear trends. Another adorable moment saw two girls walk down the runway hand in hand with their coordinating hats, sundresses and sparkly sandals. And unlike grown-up runway shows where stern stares are all the rage, these tiny trendsetters couldn't help but crack a sweet smile.
The criteria for judging are as follows: appeal and beauty – 40 percent (good facial feature, proportioned physique, must exude charm), projection - 20 percent (ability to pose comfortably, facial expression), confidence - 20 percent (how he/she handles himself/herself on the ramp) and style - 20 percent (overall fashion sense, how well the clothes complement the wearer).
For the prizes, second runner up received P10,000 worth of SM gift certificates, first runner up went home with P15,000 worth of SM gift certificates and the grand winner got a P20,000 worth of SM gift certificates and a modeling stint with SM Kids!
The SM Kids casting call winner is nine-year-old Leilani Adriana Fabela.
