Tour guide, tourist van driver caught in Badian drug bust

A TOUR guide and tourist van operator were caught on Tuesday afternoon, March 20, in a series of drug bust in Badian, Cebu.

Senior Inspector Bonifacio Pareja, the town police chief, identified the suspects as Dexter Calderon Divinagracia, 41, and Jessie Beduya Kiamco, 32.

Divinagracia, a tour guide, was arrested in Barangay Matutinao at 4:50 p.m.

The suspect had been included in the list of drug personalities operating in the town.

At 1 p.m., Kiamco, a tourist van driver from Lapu-Lapu City, was caught in Barangay Banhigan.

Operatives seized 13 small packs of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, from the suspects.

The contraband is worth P6,500, a Dangerous Drugs Board value.

Suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
