TRIATHLETES can now register for the 2017 Cebu City Triathlon (CCT), which is set on Jan. 29 next year at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

The race organized by CornerStone Group will be taking the participants to the heart of Cebu City for the 750-meter swim, 20K bike and 5K run.

The swimming portion of the event will be held in the CCSC swimming pool, while the bike segment and the run course will take part in the major streets of Cebu City. The organizers said that the route for the CCT 2017 will be the same as last year’s.

The triathlon competition, which started in 2015 and is one of the activities of the Sinulog Festival, is expected to draw about 200 to 300 entries.

Aaliyah Ricci Mataragnon of Team Sante Barley is the defending back-to-back champion in the women’s division, while Paul Jumamil of Rider Omega Pro Triathlon Team is the reigning title holder in the men’s class.

Registration fee is at P2,800 for the sprint and P6,000 for the relay.

Entry forms are available at Autofocus, Drawingboard, MetroHub, Bikecology, Cebu City Sports Commission office, and online registration at cornerstone8080events.com.
