A TRICYCLE driver was stabbed to death by the former boyfriend of his partner due to jealousy, at Luzuriaga Street in Barangay 29, Bacolod City early Wednesday morning, August 30.
Police identified the fatality as Elmer Navares Margario, 33, of Barangay Mansilingan.
He was declared dead at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Police recovered from Margario an improvised tooter and a lighter.
Investigation showed the suspect Jeffrey Coronel of Manapla town attacked Margario after a confrontation.
A follow-up operation is ongoing to arrest the suspect.
Shot dead
An employee of the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental was shot to death by two unidentified men on Paterno Street, Barangay Poblacion Wednesday morning.
The fatality, Oscar Solania Jr., 46, worked as an administrative assistant.
Police said Asildo was walking towards his vehicle parked beside the road in front of Guihulngan South Central School when one of the assailants fired at him several times.
Another assailant came and shot the victim again.
The perpetrators escaped on board a white vehicle.
Police recovered from the scene 10 fired bullets and three slugs of .45 caliber pistol.
