ANDY Tuñacao from Leyte outran Kenyans to top the Runnilla Eco Challenge in Minglanilla, Cebu last Sunday.
Tuñacao clocked three hours 15 minutes and 46 seconds to win the men 30K division. He was followed by Isaac Simat (3:30:55) and James Mibei (3:40:00).
The women were dominated by Mereeis Ramirez, who clocked 3:57; she was followed by Jade Abellana (4:21:40), and Christy Sevilleno(4:34:34).
Feljoy Scout Canada clocked 1:11:01 for the first place finish in the 18K category, followed by Roger Baronda with (1:28:00) and Harold Sesaldo (1:30:00).
The female 18K, on the other hand, was won by Rhoda Oporto, who clocked 1:36:00. She was followed by Daisy Batac and Arlene Pepito for second and third places, respectively.
The eco trail run’s proceeds will help the Calbasa-an Elementary School acquire a generator set.
