Rev. Msgr. Vicente L. Tupas Jr. said that the race was their highlight for the first anniversary of the Canonization of San Pedro Calungsod and said he was overwhelmed by the response from the running community.

Tupas added that although Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma failed to grace the event, they are hoping that by next year, Palma will be able to attend the race, which was also part of their fund-raising effort for the church’s educational program.
