THE University of Immaculate Conception (UIC) bowling team remained ahead of the pack in the Smart Inter-College Bowling Tournament after playing two more games last October 12, Saturday, to solidify their lead.
UIC leads all eight quarterfinalists with a score of 2398 pinfalls over four games.
Held to second place are the Ateneo Blue Knights 2, who garnered a score of 2171 over four games played.
Surging up to third place from sixth were the University of Mindanao Pin Breakers, who racked up a total score of 2123 over the two match days.
Ateneo teams sat in the fourth and fifth spots, with Ateneo Blue Knights 4 and Ateneo Blue Knights 3 tallying 2053 and 2040, respectively.
Brokenshire went up a spot, claiming sixth with a total of 2025.
The Ateneo Blue Knights 1 managed a quarterfinal berth as well with a score of 2008, quadrupling Ateneo's chances to place high in the tournament.
The last quarterfinal spot was awarde to Davao Doctors College 5, who remains in the eight spot with a total of 1811 in four games played.
The tournament winners will be decided on October 19 when the top eight teams play from the quarterfinals all the way to the championship games.
The team that comes out on top next Saturday will be awarded four new cellphones and P12,000 while the runner-up will be given P8,000. The third placer will receive P4,000 and all quarter-finalists will be awarded P800.
