Spain’s prestigious clothing line, Sfera, marked the launching of its fashion center at the SM Seaside City, with a style happening: Spring/Summer 2016 Collection.

Local fashionistas were dazzled by an array of Sfera’s three new trends: Minimalism, Navy Blue and Boho Rocker. Stunning models marched in, garbed in African-inspired garments, as well as attire with the nautical and romantic theme.

Coordinating the event ever so efficiently were Sfera’s Patricia Limcaoco and Ella Fortun, from the lively presscon to the refreshing cocktails that followed, to welcoming Cebu’s women of style and pomp!

We wish Sfera many more years of success in the fashion realm!

From fashion, it’s fusion… Food fusion, that is!

Madrid Fusion-Manila (MFM) is the first and only Asian edition of Madrid Fusion, the most notable International Gastronomy Congress in the world. Since 2003, Madrid has been the venue for this event, which gathers the most acclaimed chefs from around the globe. On its first year, the theme of the Congress was “The Philippines and Spain: A 300-year Gastronomic Journey.”

Madrid Fusion-Manila (Fusion Flavors) was held at the SMX Convention Center with the theme: “The Manila Galleon-East Meets West.” SM Supermalls has also brought this event to 24 malls nationwide, including Cebu!

SM City Cebu with the Department of Tourism recently launched the event at the The Northwing atrium, with Cafe Laguna’s celebrated chef Raku Urbina and Cebu’s culinary stylist Teresin Mendezona.

Chef Raki concocted Filipino-Spanish themed dishes like: Fabada with jamon, angulas, pimientos rellenos de bacalao, rocotto crostini, and served Teresin’s famous cassava ala Teresin (a favorite dessert among us), and many more.

Teresin’s unique talent was manifested when she designed the food service area, which was a delightful pergola, draped with real grapes, and attracted everyone’s attention. Congrats, all!
