CEBU -- The University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers defeated the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, 77-66, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Incorporated's (Cesafi) College Division Finals Game 2 held at the New Cebu Coliseum on Friday, October 13.
Both teams will still have to fight it out in Game 3 at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, to win this season's championship title.
Meanwhile, Jaybie Mantilla of the University of San Jose-Recoletos was named on Friday as Most Valuable Player in this season's collegiate league.
Mantilla joins Rey Suerte of the University of Visayas (UV), Jerome Napao of UV, Garciano Puerto Jr. of UC and John Reel Saycon of the University of San Carlos in the mythical five.
