VALLADOLID Assistant Municipal Planning and Development Officer Cherryl Aguirre returned to work on June 22 following the implementation of the order of the Department of Interior and Local Government-Negros Island Region (DILG-NIR) to reinstate her.
Her reinstatement came after the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas decision exonerating her from the charge of grave misconduct.
“I’m back to work. I’m happy and ready to work. God is good to me. I hope that with my exoneration, we can now move and face our future with a clear mind,” said Aguirre, who was out of office for three months after she was ordered suspended.
She has been assigned as officer-in-charge municipal accountant, but before her suspension served as assistant municipal planning and development officer.
The DILG-NIR also ordered the corresponding payment of her back wages.
