VALENTINE'S DAY. It is that time of the year again.
Is it just me or this is also true to everyone else, that Valentines is a day that we need to be at our best, which means, making our girlfriend, wife, best friend, or what-you-have happy.
So, how do we do that? Is it through the traditional way of giving flowers and chocolates with an effortful love letter? Honestly, it doesn’t really matter.
What’s truly important is the thought of giving, regardless of what it is or how much it is.
However, there are just some who has the leisure of time to look for what they think is best while others are trying to pull it off in a simple way.
But if you were to ask me, the top of my list is this: Give him or her the best version of you.
Yes, I know it’s a little bit cheesy but it could be the best. The reason why we celebrate this occasion because of love and love means giving the best version of you. I’m not saying that you only give the best version of you during Valentine’s Day but if you still haven’t, maybe this is the perfect time.
This could mean a lot for your special someone. It costs no money but could be the best among the rest.
This next one is somewhat old-fashioned but timeless. Give him or her love poems or a song that he or she will never forget. My high school teacher once told me that a person could surprisingly become poetic when in love. The more creative your original craft is, the more it manifests that Cupid accurately had a bull’s eye on you.
So much about the cheesy “giving the best version of you and making poems or songs”, how about an intimate dinner in a fine restaurant? Yes, I will not recommend that.
Instead of paying a costly menu, I’d rather suggest you go to a crab buffet or in a pizza parlor and fill your tummy with sinful treats.
I asked some of my female friends on Facebook on where do they prefer to eat if their special someone would treat them in Valentine’s Day, most of them are one in answering in a crabs buffet restaurant rather than a fine dining restaurant.
Women’s appetite, nowadays, are insatiable which means the quote “A way to man’s heart is through his stomach” doesn’t only apply to men but to women as well.
How about treat him or her to a massage spa? Everyone needs to relax after a tiring day.
There are so many massage spa bustling this city. It will be worth it and memorable.
The last one for me is an engagement ring. If you are ready then what are you waiting for?
Take her to a massage parlor, then take her to a delicious dinner, write her poems, and give her the ring.
Giving her the ring means you are giving her your life. That you are ready to give her everything.
Whatever material things you give, in the end of the day, it is love, respect and loyalty that matters this Valentine’s day!
