Widow of slain Malaysian terrorist falls

(UPDATED) - Police said they have arrested the widow of slain Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Bin Hir, alias Marwan.

Juromee Dongon, better known as Tata or Saynab Janjalani, was arrested by authorities in Lanao del Norte early Sunday morning, February 25.

Police Regional Office 10 director Chief Superintendent Timoteo Pacleb said the police and military conducted a joint operation against Dongon in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

He said the operation stemmed from the issuance of a search warrant for violation of illegal possession of firearms and explosives.

Recovered during the operation were one fragmentation grenade, six blasting caps,one blasting cap assembly and other items used in making explosives.

Also reportedly arrested were Dongon's sister Lorelie D. Atta, alias Bebeth Aminah, and her husband, Senior Police Officer 4 Andy Atta.

Another operation based on a separate search warrant led to the arrest of Dongon's father, Romeo Dungon, and another sister, Norein Santos Dungon.

Marwan was the subject of an ant-terrorism operation that killed 44 Special Action Force (SAF) policemen in Mamasapano, Maguindanao on January 25, 2015.
