HUGE cash prizes await winners in the Cherrylume x Mark Anthony Construction and Supply-powered Basketball Avenue Champions League that will tip off on January 7 at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Activity Center.
Its organizers said the champion of this league will take home P60,000 while the second and third placers will take home P30,000 and P20,000, respectively.
The most valuable player will also receive P3,000 and a medal.
Aside from the league, there will also be a three-point contest and a mini dunk competition included in the all-star week slated before the semifinals.
The three-point king will receive P1,500 so as the dunk contest champion.
Already 14 teams entered including Cherrylume, MACS-DPWH, MACS-CEO, Hungry Ape, Reefside, C-Gonz Construction, Three Seven, Spartans, Team EINRA, Metro Poker, Phenomenal Lifestyle, Gold Star, Warriors and Myrzia's Online Koleksyon who will vie in the single-round robin format event sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
The teams will be grouped into two brackets with the top four teams in each bracket proceed to the quarterfinals.
The winners in the quarterfinals will go directly to the crossover semifinals en-route the championship round. (ABM)
