Winners of BacoLaodiat table tennis games named

About 150 players competed in the BacoLaodiat Invitational Table Tennis Championship 2018 hosted by Lopue’s Table Tennis Association (Loptta) from February 16 to 18 in Bacolod City.

In the 10 and under Boys beginners, Geuf Veloso overpowered Anton Bayona in the finals while Kobe Vargas received the bronze while in the 10 and under Girls, Jona Gonzales took the championship over Ameera Bacomo while Cassie Casuyon settled for second runner-up.

The 10 and under Boys was dominated by Joaquin Bragancia by defeating RV Valderama in the championship as James Tancinco made his way to third place.

In the 10 and under Girls, Ricci Crisdel Sausa defeated Nicole Camille Bomban to claim the championship while Yesha Metoda received the bronze award.

In the 13 and under Boys, defending champion Roan Vasquez finished strong in the finals against Rinkart Ravello as Matthew Metoda followed in the third rank.

In the Girls ending matches, reigning champ Kylie Sophia Villanueva influenced the finals against Dianah Yapiso while Glieza Cordova placed second runner-up.

The seniors event was ruled by Cherry Tiongco who shined in the Women’s Open after defeating Ruby Ann Longno in the championship match as Kimberly Faith Trasporto ended in third place.

In the Men’s Open, John Michael Castro was again the champion after his victory over John Paul Gubaton while Danilo Abonales settled for second runner-up.

In Men’s Executive, Robert Arteche beat Jay Canalin in the finals as Pastor Allan Tupas received the bronze award while in the Veterans Event, Ben Alo defeated Msgr. Nick Melicor in the championship match as Rev. Joel Valdez settled for second runner-up. (PR)
