A WOMAN was arrested on Sunday afternoon, February 4, after she hacked a neighbor she believed had an affair with her live-in partner in Sitio Sangi, Barangay Madridejos, Alegria, Cebu.
The suspect, Maria Marylou Geraldino Godwena, was arrested by the team led by Senior Inspector Efren Diaz Jr., the town police chief.
Godwena's victim, Melagros Lim, suffered wounds in her hands and she was brought to a hospital for treatment.
Investigation showed that Godwena attacked Lim with a long bolo while the latter was cooking for dinner in the house where she was working as a helper.
Lim blocked the strikes from Godwena with a wood.
The suspect will face a frustrated murder complaint before the Provincial Prosecutor's Office. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
