Woman riding e-bicycle dies in Alcoy road accident

A 43-YEAR-OLD woman, who was riding an electronic bicycle, died after she was hit by a motorcycle at 9:20 a.m., Sunday, February 4, in Barangay Atabay, Alcoy, Cebu.

Police Officer 2 Alejandrino Dayaganon Jr., desk officer, identified the victim as Analyn Anore Anor, who succumbed to injuries in the head and other parts of her body.

The motorcycle driver, Marvin Aguilar, 24, was detained after the accident. He will face reckless imprudence resulting in homicide if he cannot reach a settlement with Anor's family.

Authorities said Aguilar was driving a motorcycle which has no license plate and document.

Investigation showed that both vehicles were traveling on the southbound lane. Anor was ahead of Aguilar.

Anor made a sudden turn to her left when she reached Atabay. Aguilar, who was driving fast, failed to evade her and hit her motorcycle.

Anor was rushed to a public hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor. (KAL)
