A WOMAN believed to be mentally-ill strangled to death her seven-year-old son at their home in Barangay Mabigo, Canlaon City, Negros Oriental Wednesday, September 20.
Police report said the victim’s grandfather, a retired police officer, found the boy, whose body was placed inside a sack. His hands were tied with a rope.
The mother admitted she strangled the victim with a belt. She also tried to put her son’s body inside a trolley bag.
Initial investigation showed the woman got mad at the boy.
Police have yet to determine what caused the mother’s anger.
The suspect, who is under the police custody, will face parricide charges. (MPE)
