Worldwide Tile Depot opens

BANKING on the growing and booming economic status of Davao City, Worldwide Tile Depot, a Cebu-based group under the Worldwide Home Depot expands through opening its first and only branch outside Visayas located at Yap building, Quimpo Boulevard, Ecoland, Davao City.

The branch, which was blessed and made open to the public last Thursday, November 17 is seen to the city’s next top destination for architects, interior designers, contractors, home owners and developers.

“We are very positive with the development and business boom of Davao and we want to take part of the growth here,” Worldwide Tile Depot President Ann Leslie Ngo said.

She added that the Davao branch will cater the company’s growing clientele in the city.

“Even before, we already have our Davao clients, now that we opened a showroom here, we will now better cater their needs as they do not have to fly out to Cebu to order or reach us for concerns,” Ann Marjorie Yang, Vice President for Sales, said.

Yang said customers like architects, interior designers, contractors and home owners will have a wider range of choices for their projects as the new showroom offers an array of porcelain and ceramic tiles, vinyl tiles, bathroom fixtures and accessories, quartz and granite slabs, building boards, high-pressure laminates, light metal frames and other finishing materials.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, in a statement read by city councilor April Marie Dayap, said the City Government welcomes industries and enterprises like Worldwide Tile Depot as these are the city’s valued partners of growth and expansion.

“We trust that through this new business, you will offer products that will improve the lives of the people in Davao City,” Dayap read representing the lady mayor.

Asked on what is the edge of Worldwide Tile Depot from other competing establishments that has been serving the city for years, Ngo said, the company’s excellent track of record strengthened by its 40 years of experience in the industry is but already a guarantee for customers that their products are of quality, dependability and affordability.

“We continue to be as reliable as we can, we offer value to the client. Good quality and affordable, that is how we position our brand, stylish yet affordable,” Ngo said.

Yang said that their company is importing tiles and other finishing materials from Spain, China, Vietnam and Indonesia.

“Aside from our in-house brand, Galleria Ceramica, we also distribute products of American Standard, Royal Tern, Mariwasa, ABC, SCG Smartboard, Boral, Novtec and APO,” Yang said.

Ngo added that as the building industry continues to evolve, the company is also updating their line of products every now and then to keep abreast and relevant with the fast-changing industry landscape.

“In terms of expansion, we will first focus here in Davao and we’ll see if where we can go next,” she said.

The firm’s mother company is into manufacturing and distribution of structural material such as steel bars, common wire and finishing nails, c purlins, pre-painted roofing, light metal frames, cement and many other products.

Worldwide Tile Depot is offering its Davao customers an early Christmas treat as they have discounts on all items of up to 30 percent until November 30.
