Yassi Pressman approves of Coco Martin’s new leading lady

YASSI Pressman supports Coco Martin's new leading lady in his upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Ang Panday."

It was announced recently that Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 Mariel de Leon will star opposite the television actor.

The project will be De Leon's first acting project. She is the daughter of season actors Sandy Andolong and Christopher de Leon.

Pressman, in an interview, said she is excited to see the final product as it's going to be Martin's first directorial job.

"Si Mariel napakaganda at sana bigyan natin siya ng pagkakataon. First directorial ni Coco and alam ko na paghihirapan talaga nila (Mariel is very beautiful, let's give her a chance. It's Coco's first directorial job and I know that they will work hard for it)," she said.

Pressman is Martin's leading lady in hit primetime series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano."

Asked if the actor asked for her permission or informed her about De Leon's inclusion in the movie, Pressman said she is not in the position to allow or disapprove anyone.

"Wala naman ako sa ganung posisyon. Napag-uusapan lang kasi sa cast, marami ring parte ng pamilya namin sa Ang Probinsyano. Hindi din ako mahilig mag-expect. At saka para naman iba rin. Excited ako na mapanood sila," she said.

She also assured Julia Montes, the rumored girlfriend of Martin, that there is nothing to worry about their on-screen team-up.

She said she is friends with Montes and all is well between them.

"Magkaibigan naman kami kaya kapag nasa set, normal naman," Pressman said.

She said she is too busy for a relationship and is not in a hurry to find love.

"Minsan ko na nga lang nakikita ang bahay at saka family ko. Monday to Saturday ay taping talaga," she said, but added: "Punong puno ako ng love." (SunStar Philippines)
