THE Zamboanga City Fire District (ZCFD) personnel will undergo fire suppression training every week in a bid to keep them abreast of the firefighting operations and protocol.
Superintendent Jhufel Brañanola, newly-installed city fire marshal, said the weekly fire drills will be held every Wednesday starting next week.
Brañanola said the fire drills will ensure that all ZCFD personnel are in their respective post during their duty.
He said it is also to ensure that no fire personnel will be involved in illegal and unscrupulous activities.
He said that during his stint as district fire marshal he will establish, with the help of the city government, additional fire stations in the villages to immediately address fire incidents. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
