ZAMBOANGA City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar has urged the latest batch of retirees to continue being productive despite have already left the government service.
Salazar made the call as she feted on Monday, July 31, the 23 retirees who have left public service this year.
Former City Treasurer Soledad Li and former City Engineer Luis Vicente Despalo were among the honorees of the simple ceremony organized by the City Human Resource Management Office.
“There is life after retirement. Take the time to get to know your family more,” Salazar told the retirees.
She likewise reminded the group to be mindful of their health and recommended they find and do something they are passionate about.
