Zamboanga cops receive medals for exemplary performance

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula has awarded "Medalya ng Kagalingan" (PNP Merit Medal) to the Police Station 6 chief and 13 of his personnel for exemplary performance in the campaign against illegal drugs.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula (Western Mindanao) information officer, said the awarding was held during the traditional Flag raising ceremony Monday, October 9, at Camp Abendan, Zamboanga City.

The recipients of the award are the following: Superintendent Nonito Asdai, Police Station 6 chief, Senior Police Officer 3 (SPO3) Julambri Adjimuddin, SPO1 Alharab Saleh, Police Officer 3 (PO3) Assami Villacin, PO3 Abdilla Arip, PO3 Maricel Abduhalim, PO3 Butch Canones, PO2 Abdul Nadzer Moharibain, PO2 Michael Tarroza, PO2 Howard Furuc, PO2 Sarwinda Sahibaddin, PO2 Jeffrey Akim, PO1 Allen Roy Salomon, and PO1 Ezekiel Arcillas.

Galvez said they were awarded merit medals for their exemplary performance and devotion to duty rendered during the conduct of drug bust operation that resulted to the arrest of Prince Valiant Timbayan Garcia and his wife, Aiza Ajimi, and the confiscated of P1.2 million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."
