DEFENDING champion Coco Gauff is out of the French Open after a third-round defeat to Austria’s Anastasia Potapova, 4-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-4, on Saturday (Sunday, May 31, 2026, PH time).
The fourth seed Gauff, a two-time Grand Slam winner, was defeated by the 28th seed Potapova after being a break up in the
deciding set.
Gauff became the latest big name to crash out of Paris, following the elimination of men’s top seed Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. / RSC
