JADON Sancho is heading back to Manchester United following the conclusion of his loan spell at Chelsea.
The 25-year-old winger confirmed his departure in a social media post on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, expressing his appreciation for his time at Stamford Bridge.
“Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home — teammates, staff and the fans,” Sancho wrote. “Wishing the club all the best moving forward. Truly grateful, thank you Blues.”
Sancho joined Chelsea on a season-long loan last August, with the agreement including a £25 million ($34 million) option to buy. However, Chelsea will now be required to pay a £5 million ($6.75 million) fee to forgo that
purchase clause.
After a mixed spell in west London, Sancho is expected to rejoin Manchester United’s squad for pre-season training, unless a new transfer deal is arranged in the coming weeks.
