Two personnel of the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) were arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery in Mabalacat City recently.
Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. , director of the Police Regional Office Region 3 (PRO 3) assured the public that the regional police office "remains relentless in its internal cleansing efforts."
The police director said his office will not tolerate the wrongdoings if policemen.
He also warned erring members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the region.
“We will never tolerate abuse of power in our ranks. This incident is a blatant betrayal of public trust and a disgrace to the uniform we wear," Peñones said.
"Let me be clear, any police officer who engages in criminal activity will be treated as a criminal. The full force of the law will be applied, regardless of position or assignment," he added. RGN
