2 nabbed for drugs

The City of San Fernando Police Station arrested two persons and confiscated P520,000 worth of shabu on Monday.

The suspects were arrested by elements of Intelligence Unit of San Fernando police during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose.

The city police identified the arrested men as “Vigor,” 45, ans “Anjo,” 39, both jobless and residents of said village.

The cops seized during the operation 65 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of ?520,000.

The suspects are considered high-value individuals due to the quantity of drugs involved and their criminal profiles, the local police said

The duo were taken to the San Fernando City Police Station along with the confiscated illegal substances.

They are facing criminal charges in violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Colonel Jay Dimaandal, director of the Pampanga Police, said "under my leadership, we will continue to intensify our operations, strengthen community partnerships, and uphold the rule of law. Our message is clear, there is no safe haven for drug personalities in Pampanga. We will pursue them wherever they may hide, and we will bring them to justice."
