
Two persons tagged by cops as "high-value individuals" were arrested in two separate operations launched in Pampanga.
Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, director of Police Regional Office III, said that a 34-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Sto. Rosario, Minalin town on Monday.
The suspect, who is a government employee, yielded
“shabu” worth P6,800.
A buy-bust operation was also launched in Sta. Rita town on Tuesday where also a 47-year-old man identified as “Berns” from Bamban, Tarlac was apprehended.
Police were able to recover 60 grams of shabu valued at P408,000, a firearms and personal belongings from the suspect.
The suspects face charges in court for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Additional charges for illegal possession of firearms and violations of the Omnibus Election Code will be filed against “Berns.”
“These operations underscore the unrelenting resolve of PRO3 in dismantling drug syndicates and safeguarding our communities. With our intelligence-driven approach and strong collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, we will continue to track down and apprehend those behind the illegal drug trade,” said Fajardo.
