A total of P7,257,000 in financial aid and food packs were distributed to 2,419 farmers from Arayat, Sta. Ana, San Luis, and Mexico through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) AKAP Program in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
The Capitol said each beneficiary received P3,000 cash from the DSWD and a food pack from the provincial government.
The distribution was led by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.
“President Marcos instructed me to ensure that our farm workers are well taken care of,” Gatchalian told the residents.
DSWD Regional Director Venus Rebuldela; Nanay Partylist Representative Jun Canlas; Board Members Fritzie David Dizon, Kaye Naguit, and Lucky Labung; Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Head Fe Manarang, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) Head Jimmy Manliclic, and Vice Governor’s Chief of Staff Angelina Blanco also attended the event.
