3 roads in Pampanga remain closed: DPWH

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Monday that three roads in Pampanga remain closed to traffic while 16 others are partially opened due to the effects of the southwest monsoon and recent tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong.

In its report released 6 am on Monday, the agency said the closed roads include Baliwag-Candaba-Sta Ana Road, identified as roads K0068+0500 to K0069+0200 in Barangay San Agustin;

K0064+0500 to K0066+0300 in Barangay Paligui; and the Candaba-San Miguel Road K0073+0800 to K0074+0000 in Barangay Paralaya, all in Candaba town.

The agency said the roads are still closed to traffic due to debris on the bridge deck, soil erosion, flooding, and collapsed roadway.

The partially-closed roads are in the Apalit – Macabebe - Masantol Road section, namely K0059+0000 to K0059+0400 in Barangay Caduang Tete, K0059+0500 to K0061+0000 in Barangay San Gabriel, and K0061+0500 to K0063+0500 in Barangay Sta. Rita, all in Macabebe town; K0056+0600 to K0057+0000 in Barangay Colgante, Apalit; and K0063+0000 to K0063+1090 in Barangay Sta. Lucia Anac, Masantol.

Road along the Macarthur Highway with limited access are K0057+0750 to K0057+0900 in Barangay Tulauc, San Simon; K0058+0950 to K0059+0020 in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Minalin; and K0064+0700 to K0064+0800 in Barangay San Nicolas, City of San Fernando.

Others partially opened roads include the Sto. Tomas-Minalin Road (Minalin-Macabebe) section are K0064+0400 to K0064-0100 in Barangay San Matias and K0064+0050 to K0064+0150 in Barangay Sto. Niño, both in Santo Tomas town; K0073+0200 to K0073+0700 in Barangay Telacsan, Macabebe; K0074+0600 to K0074+0708 in Barangay Colgante, Apalit; and K0067+0850 to K0068+0000 in Barangay San Pedro, Minalin.

Three routes in the Sto. Tomas-Minalin Road (Minalin Tail Dike section are limited -- K0070+0900 to K0071+0150 in Barangay Sto Rosario and K0067+0900 to K0068+0050 in Barangay Sta. Rita, both in Minalin; and K0072+0400 to K0074+0600 in Barangay Telacsan, Macabebe.

The DPWH said the roads have limited access to some types of vehicles due to road cut, washed-out detour road, road slip, flooding, precautionary measures, and washed-out bridge detour.
