

Five individuals were injured following an explosion at a water pumping station in Barangay Mangga, Candaba on Friday, May 30.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said the explosion was caused by the sudden rupture of the facility’s water tank that resulted in structural damage and affected nearby homes.
The injured persons include a senior citizen, two adult females, and two children.
They were taken to a private hospital for treatment.
Four of them sustained minor injuries, while one suffered a rib fracture.
The MDRRMO reported that the incident affected a total of 101 individuals from 24 families.
Eleven houses were affected by the blast, four of which were totally destroyed and one partially damaged.
The displaced residents were provided with temporary shelter, basic necessities, and psychosocial support, the MDRRMO said.
