The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with St. Luke's Medical Center Foundation, Inc. (SLMCFI) to conduct a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) training program for the communities in Bamban, Tarlac.

The government agency said the event reinforces its commitment to community empowerment and safety.

The initiative provided about 80 participants with essential life-saving skills.

The beneficiaries included Indigenous People and barangay health workers from Sitio Martin, Icasu Martin, Sta. Rosa, Mapilog, Malaso, Gayanan, Quadra, Bilad, and Macapagal Village.

Recognizing the importance of preparedness across all sectors, members of the BCDA security team and New Clark City personnel also participated in the training.

BCDA Vice President for Land and Asset Development Richard Cepe welcomed the participants.

He highlighted the importance of acquiring life-saving knowledge during the event.

The BLS training, facilitated by instructors from SLMCFI, covered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and managing choking incidents.

Participants engaged in hands-on practical sessions, gaining the confidence and proficiency to apply the skills in real-life scenarios.
