American falls prey to ‘Akyat Bahay’ gang

SEVERAL personal belongings and cash were carted away from an American national’s home by members of the “Akyat Bahay” gang at Royale Subdivision, Barangay Telabastagan, City of San Fernando recently.

Police said Aaron Black, 43, an American and resident of the said barangay allegedly left the main gate of his house, kitchen window and their bedroom unlocked.

The suspects entered through the unlocked window at the first floor of the victim’s house, police said.

Authorities said once inside, the suspects entered the master’s bedroom and carted away two Mac laptops, an Asus laptop, an iPhone 6+ and one Coach brand brown bag containing a Metro Bank ATM card, US passport and P10,000 cash.

Police said the suspects fled to unknown direction.

Superintendent Levi Hope Basilio, chief of police of City of San Fernando said that prior to the incident, elements of Compac-4 conducted a patrol around 12:30 a.m. on that day inside the said subdivision but no untoward incident happened. Police advised the guards to be vigilant. (Ric Sapnu)
