

The local government unit (LGU) of Angeles City said it has strengthened its animal welfare programs.
The City Veterinary Office recently presented an update on its ongoing programs and initiatives to Mayor Carmelo "Jon" Lazatin II .
During the briefing, the city mayor reiterated his support for responsible pet ownership and educating the students on animal welfare.
Lazatin emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and quality of meat and poultry products within the city.
The mayor urged the residents to consider adopting fur babies currently housed at the city’s animal shelter.
The facility was established to look for permanent homes for the animals.
