Senator-elect Bam Aquino on Monday expressed gratitude to his supporters who contributed to his return to Senate.
He called his victory a result of “people-powered” campaigning.
Speaking at a thanksgiving event dubbed “Salamat BAMPanga,” Aquino credited his supporters for helping him secure second place in the 2025 senatorial race, with over 20.9 million votes.
The event was hosted by Central Luzon business leader Rene Romero and attended by Aquino's supporters coming from different sectors.
“This victory belongs to those who gave their time, effort, and belief in the possibility of better leadership. This is not just my win, it’s ours,” Aquino said.
He added that his new mandate "signals a strong public demand for reforms in education, employment, and inclusive development."
Aquino vowed to prioritize legislation that delivers “long-term, measurable change” aligned with the needs of the communities that backed his candidacy.
Romero, a longtime supporter, said Aquino’s victory reflects public trust in leaders who prioritize principle over politics.
“We need public servants who place people’s welfare above personal gain. Senator Bam is one of them,” Romero said.
