The new set of officials in the City of San Fernando on Monday, June 30 took their oath of office in grand inauguration rites dubbed "Itamu ing Bosis" (We are the Voice) at the Heroes Hall.

The officials who took their oath of office before Executive Judge Alexander Malig of Regional Trial Court Branch 45 were Mayor Vilma Caluag; Vice Mayor Aurelio Brenz Gonzales; and councilors Noel Tulabut, Reggie David, Harvey Quiwa, Tino Dizon, Kay Pineda, Angelo Hizon, Jr., Jay Cuyugan, Mark Joseph Carreon, Jayson Sicat and Elmer Bengco.

In her inaugural speech, Caluag said they will work for projects, top-billed by the San Fernando People's Hospital, which will start soon.

Other programs the mayor cited include health, education and employment.

For his part, Gonzales said that the 9th Sangguniang Panlungsod will open its sessions to the public for transparency and accountability.

"The public is welcome to attend the sessions of the 9th Sangguniang Panlunsod every Wednesday at 3:00 pm. This is to ensure transparency. We are a collegiate body, but an independent body. Asahan po ninyo na lahat ng ordinansa at resolution na ipapasa namin ay para sa ikabubuti ng mga Fernandinos," he said.

Gonzales said the city council will support the establishment of the San Fernando People's Hospital, as he and his sister, Incoming Third District Representative Mica Gonzales, are exhausting all avenues for funding support.

The vice-mayor thanked the people who supported him and assured the continuity of services from the Gonzales family, with Congresswoman Mica, and Pampanga Third District Board Member MyMy Gonzales.
