The Pampanga State University, formerly Don Honorio Ventura State University, has announced that face-to-face classes and academic activities across all its campuses resume on Saturday, August 16, Saturday.
In an advisory dated August 15, 2025, the university said the resumption covers National Service Training Program (NSTP) classes, undergraduate programs, the Graduate School, and the School of Law.
The announcement comes two days after the university was forced to postpone its Commencement Exercises scheduled for August 14 and 15 due to a bomb scare.
While the university did not specify the reason for the postponement in its earlier statement, Bacolor Mayor Diman Datu disclosed in a social media post that a bomb threat was reported in connection with the event.
The university has yet to announce the new schedules for the postponed commencement exercises.
The Pampanga Police Provincial Office confirmed that no explosives were found at the venue.
Members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and K9 units conducted a thorough inspection and declared the area safe.
Authorities are now investigating the source of the false alarm, according to the mayor.
The university has apologized for the inconvenience, saying there is no schedule yet for the graduation rites.
The school management assured the public that it will issue updates.
