Bacolor Mayor Eduardo “Diman” G. Datu yesterday announced the suspension of classes at all levels and government office work in the municipality in observance of Eid’l Fitr on April 1, 2025.

The mayor issued the order following the Proclamation No. 839 was signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declaring April 1 a regular holiday throughout the Philippines in observance of Eid'l Fitr, the Islamic festival marking the end of Ramadan.

“All school activities, including work in government offices within Bacolor, are also suspended on the said date,” the mayor stated.

Datu extended his well wishes to the Muslim community, emphasizing unity and respect for religious traditions.

“We wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a peaceful and joyful celebration of Eid’l Fitr,” the mayor said.
