The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) said it is positioning Clark as a driver of growth in the country’s transport and logistics sector.

CDC President Agnes Devanadera said this before delegates of the 3rd Central Luzon Transport and Trade Conference held on June 19 at the Clark Marriott.

Devanadera described the transportation and logistics sectors as game changers that position Clark as the gateway to Northern Philippines’ economic centers.

Devanadera said that infrastructures, such as the North-South Commuter Railway and the expansion of Clark International Airport, are expected to boost cargo and passenger traffic in the ecozone and attract major logistics players.

She also underscored the need for a clear distinction between administration and regulation in the sector. She warned that overlapping roles may hinder development.

The CDC chief called for stronger policy advocacy, improved interconnectivity, and legislative champions to support infrastructure such as the nautical highway.

The 3rd Central Luzon Transport and Trade Conference (2025), carrying the theme “Building a Reliable Logistics Infrastructure to Power Economic Growth,” showcased the region’s image as a logistics hub and investment destination.

More than 200 executives from the public and private sectors attended the conference.
