Col Marcelo named new Pampanga police head

Police Colonel Eugene M. Marcelo has assumed post as director of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office.

The change of command ceremony was led by Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. on Monday.

Marcelo, a native of Porac town, succeeded Colonel Jay Dimaandal.

Dimaandal was assigned to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Camp Olivas.

A graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 2002, Marcelo was previously assigned in the PNP Special Action Force, Aviation Security Group, and Finance Service.

Marcelo is known for his anti-illegal drugs advocacy and commitment to public safety.

He served as Chief of Police in Floridablanca and the City of San Fernando.

In 2022, Marcelo was named “Adopted Son of Floridablanca” for his contributions to peace and order in the municipality.

He was also conferred the Most Outstanding Kapampangan in the field of Law Enforcement in 2022.
