CSF folks thank Gov, Mylyn for road rehab project

Residents of Sitio Bulusan in Barangay San Nicolas, City of San Fernando thanked Governor Dennis Pineda and former board member Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab for the rehabilitation of a road and canals in the area.

Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda and Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr. joined the governor during a simple ceremony on Saturday, January 25.

The project, amounting to ₱3,980,566.14, is expected to be completed by May this year.

Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan said the road will be elevated by an average of 60 centimeters and cover a length of 204.7 linear meters."

"The rehabilitation and elevation of the drainage system will significantly improve water flow and prevent the accumulation of stagnant water, a common cause of flooding in the area during the rainy season," Pangan added,

Residents said they have been requesting for the rehabilitation of the road to ease traffic congestion and provide safety for commuters and motorists specially during the rainy season.

“At last, maaayos at mapapaganda na ang daan namin dito sa San Nicolas…maiiwasan na ang pagbaha, wala na ring madudulas,” said Tany David, a resident from the said barangay.
