The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pampanga has launched the SIKAP Barangay Hub: Sama-samang Inisyatibo para sa Kahandaan, Aksyon, at Pagbangon in coastal barangays of Pampamga.
DILG said the initiative aims to enhance local governance and disaster resilience by establishing a barangay-level knowledge and coordination center.
The agency added that the SIKAP Barangay Hub is designed to empower barangays to become proactive in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and community recovery efforts.
As part of the program, DILG Pampanga said it introduced the SIKAP Barangay Hub website.
The platform is expected to support evidence-based planning and development of localized, needs-based programs.
It is also expected to support data-driven planning and the formulation of responsive and context-specific development programs in every village.
