The town of Sta. Ana, Pampanga, is on the verge of change. With the upcoming elections on May 12, 2025, the people of Sta. Ana have an opportunity to choose a leader who can bring progress, stability, and growth to their beloved town.

One name that stands out is Ferdinand “Dinan” Labung, a seasoned public servant and successful businessman who is ready to lead Sta. Ana into a brighter future.

Although Labung originally hails from Bacolor, he is no stranger to the people of Sta. Ana. For over a decade, he has served as a board member of Pampanga’s Third District, which includes Sta. Ana. Time and again, the people of this town have voted for him, giving him overwhelming support whenever he ran for office. His service record speaks for itself—he has always worked hard for the welfare of the people.

Labung understands the needs of Sta. Ana because he has been helping the town for many years. His leadership and experience in the provincial board have equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle local governance efficiently. Now, he is ready to take on a bigger responsibility as mayor.

Some have questioned whether Labung truly belongs to Sta. Ana. But his actions prove he is not a transient but a resident for good. Last year, he purchased a property in Barangay San Roque and built a home where he now resides. More than just living in the town, he has transferred his voter’s registration, making him a legitimate resident and qualified candidate for mayor.

Labung is not just settling in Sta. Ana; he is also investing in its future. He plans to open a business in town, encouraging more investors to come and bring jobs and opportunities to the people. With his successful background in business—owning and managing Lucky Star Construction—he knows how to attract and support businesses that will benefit the local economy.

Labung’s foray in public service began even before the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. He started as barangay chairman of San Antonio, Bacolor, and later served multiple terms as a board member. He may not have won his bid for Congress, but he never stopped serving the people of Pampanga. In short, he has a good political track record in his resume.

He believes that leadership is about service, not just position. He wants to bring his vast experience in governance and business to the town of Sta. Ana, ensuring that the municipal government is efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people.

Labung has big plans for Sta. Ana. As mayor, he will focus on making the local government investor-friendly. He wants to remove red tape, streamline business processes, and eliminate corruption. This will make Sta. Ana an attractive place for businesses, leading to job creation and economic growth.

With its vast lands and strategic location, Sta. Ana has great potential for development. Labung envisions a town that is not only a place to live but also a center for commerce and tourism. His farm resort project is just the beginning—he wants to see more investors bring in businesses that will jumpstart the town’s economy.

Some detractors claim that Labung will leave Sta. Ana once his term as mayor is over. But he firmly denies this. He has made Sta. Ana his home, invested in its future, and pledged to stay for as long as the people want him to serve. His house, business, and upcoming farm resort are all proof that he is there to stay.

Ferdinand “Dinan” Labung is not just running for mayor—he is offering himself as a true servant leader who will dedicate his time, experience, and resources to the progress of Sta. Ana. The people deserve a leader who will work hard, bring in opportunities, and ensure a better future for all. This election, Sta. Ana has a choice.
