The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 1st District Engineering Office said it has started the repair of the Dolores flyover in the City of San Fernando.

Based on the engineering office's advisory issued on Friday, June 6, the repair includes the replacement of steel deck panels on the flyover’s lanes heading toward Mexico town.

To facilitate the repairs, two lanes of the flyover have been temporarily closed.

The Dolores Flyover, located at the center of the city’s business district, serves as a crucial infrastructure for a smooth vehicle traffic flow along Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA).

Due to its partial closure, motorists are advised to take alternate routes and observe traffic regulations, the City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office (CPOSCO) said.

Aside from the replacement of the steel deck panels, DPWH-Pampanga 1st DEO said it has also conducted bolts tightening on the infrastructure.

These works are part of the preventive maintenance to ensure the structural integrity of the bridge.
