
Several women-centered activities were lined up by the Department of Trade and Industry – Regional Office 3 (DTI-3) to mark the 2025 National Women’s Month this March.
The DTI said the activities are aimed at "empowering women entrepreneurs across Central Luzon."
With the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the celebration highlighted the role of women in fostering economic growth and inclusivity, according to the DTI.
The event was launched with various initiatives across the region.
In Aurora, a Women’s Month Kickoff Ceremony was held on March 3, while DTI Bulacan organized entrepreneurial training sessions in San Jose del Monte and Norzagaray.
DTI Nueva Ecija hosted business webinars, including a discussion on the effects of illicit trade. In Pampanga, a trade fair dedicated to women entrepreneurs took place from March 7 to 9. A Gender Advocacy and Awareness film showing is set for March 21 at the DTI-3 Conference Room, featuring films that promote gender equality and empowerment.
A webinar on Anti-Violence Against Women and Children will take place online on March 13, providing information on laws and policies protecting women’s rights. Entrepreneurial Development and Baking Skills Training will be held on the same day in Camp Aquino, Tarlac City, in collaboration with the Philippine Army’s Civil-Military Operations Battalion.
Further empowering women in business, a Seminar on Business Taxation will be conducted on March 18 in Sta. Cruz, Zambales. A Business 101 Seminar will follow on March 26 at the Capitol Center in Tarlac.
Trade fairs across the region will showcase women-led enterprises, providing networking and market opportunities. The Likha ng Bataeño Women’s Month Trade Fair will be held from March 21 to 24 at Waltermart Balanga, Bataan. The Women Entrepreneurs’ Fair will take place from March 14 to 22 at Clark Cityfront Mall in Angeles City. Meanwhile, Tatak Pinoy, Tatak Tarlac Trade Fair will run from March 14 to 30 at SM City Tarlac, highlighting local women entrepreneurs.
Other trade events include the Likhang Bulacan Entrepreneurs Association: Harana Para sa Kababaihan Trade Fair at Marquee Mall, Angeles City, from March 11 to 14. The Victoria Trade Fest: Bida ang Lokal in Victoria, Tarlac, from March 24 to 26 will feature training sessions alongside a trade fair.
The Likhang Zambaleño Summer Trade Fair at Harbor Point, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, from March 12 to 21, will spotlight women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises from Olongapo and Zambales.
“By supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering an inclusive business environment, we are not just celebrating Women’s Month – we are investing in a stronger and more resilient economy,” DTI-3 Regional Director Edna Dizon said.
